Dinner on Wednesday night was the new Japanese izakaya menu at Ruins with The Spokesman-Review colleague and friend Sean Stoops, as Ruins debuted the special menu Wednesday night for a one-month run.
Think of izakaya as Japanese small plates of comfort food similar to Chinese dim sum, Spanish tapas and American appetizers. Ruins said via Facebook that its izakaya menu will be offered for about a month.
