Brad Paisley announces June 26 concert at Northern Quest; Gina Chavez at Gonzaga on March 4; David Archuleta cancels tour

Country music star Brad Paisley has joined the 11th Annual Pepsi Outdoor Summer Concert lineup at Northern Quest Resort and Casino’s BECU Live outdoor concert venue, announcing his return date to the headliner stage on Sunday, June 26. Paisley has sold more than 11 million albums since his 1999 debut album.

Singer David Archuleta, winner of season 2 of “Star Search 2” and runner-up in season 7 of “American Idol” to David Cook, has canceled his date at the Bing Crosby Theater for the second time in two years.

Review: Oh, what a night at ‘Jersey Boys’ at First Interstate Center for the Arts

In an embarrassment of riches, I’ve seen the Tony Award-winning musical “Jersey Boys” at least three times during its headliner residency runs at the Palazzo and the Paris in Las Vegas, so I was greatly looking forward to seeing the latest touring production in Spokane on its opening night Friday.

On Jan. 24, White announced plans to open Uno Mas, a taco shop in Spokane Valley in the former Hello Sugar space, in mid-March with business partners Ramsey Pruchnic of Hello Sugar and Travis Thosath of TT’s Old Iron Brewery and BBQ.

Chad White to close his two High Tide Lobster Bar locations

Chef and restaurateur Chad White is closing his two High Tide Lobster Bar locations in Spokane as the price of lobster is no longer sustainable for his company and consumers, White said Sunday morning. “We will stay open until we’re out of product, but I anticipate this Monday or Tuesday being the end,” White said.

It’s cocktail (and dessert) hour: Emma Rue’s has opened downtown serving nighttime food, libations and entertainment

Emma Rue’s, from People’s Waffle owners Aaron Hein and Alyssa Agee, has opened at 17 S. Howard St. downtown serving coffee, cocktails, small plates and desserts late into the night. Additionally, Emma Rue’s, open until midnight Mondays through Saturdays, will feature live music starting Thursday, Hein said.

Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture to reopen Saturday

George Thorogood concert Thursday at Northern Quest canceled due to COVID-19

George Thorogood and the Destroyers announced Sunday morning the cancellation of their concert scheduled for Thursday at Northern Quest Resort & Casino in Airway Heights due to a positive test for COVID-19. “Unfortunately, a member of the GTD touring family has tested positive for COVID-19,” Thorogood said.
