John Roach Coeur d’Alene
Memorial service for John “Jack” Roach, 64, will be today at 10 a.m. at English Funeral Chapel in Post Falls.
Mr. Roach, who was born in Ventura, Calif., died Friday.
He lived in McCall, Idaho, for 12 years and had served as a past chairman of that city’s Winter Carnival.
Mr. Roach moved to the Coeur d’Alene area 13 years ago and worked as a broker in the real estate business.
He had been involved with Toastmasters and Rotary.
His wife, Sybil, died in 1985.
Survivors include a son, John Roach of Post Falls; a daughter, Kristi Roach of Coeur d’Alene; a brother, James Roach of Arizona; and a sister, Ann Reeves of Missoula.

Alvin Rounsville Clark Fork, Idaho
Memorial service for Alvin Harvey Rounsville, 68, will be at 1 p.m. today at Coffelt Funeral Chapel in Sandpoint. Mr. Rounsville, who was born in Coon Rapids, Minn., died Thursday.
He grew up in the Hope/Clark Fork area. He served as a radio equipment repairman with the Army during the Korean and Vietnam wars.
Mr. Rounsville retired from the military after 21 years and settled in California. He worked for the Postal Service.
In 1978 he moved to Spokane and then lived in Troy, Mont., for several years before returning to Clark Fork in 1997.
Mr. Rounsville was active with the Clark Fork Senior Center. Survivors include three daughters, Julie Russell, Brenda Radulovich and Laurie Lane, all of California; five brothers, Harold Rounsville of Clark Fork, Charley Rounsville of North Dakota, Jim Rounsville of Bremerton, George Rounsville of Post Falls and Dale Rounsville of Spokane; six sisters, Charlotte Stangle of Salem, Ore., Minnie Erickson of Wyoming, Lillian Pugh of Spirit Lake, Idaho, Betty Gibson of Athol, Idaho, and Laverna Lee and Doris Wells, both of Spokane; and nine grandchildren.
Jesse Foss Coeur d’Alene
Service for Jesse Walker Foss, 11, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Hayden Friends Church. Burial will follow at Forest Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene. Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.
Jesse, who was born in Fargo, N.D., died Sunday following a 22-month battle with leukemia.
He lived in North Dakota and Moscow, Idaho, before moving to Coeur d’Alene in 1995, where he attended Fernan Elementary School.
Survivors include his parents, Craig and Jill Foss; a brother, Isaac at home; his grandparents, Dr. C. Milton and Janice Smith of Minot, N.D., and The Rev. Carell and Bonnie Foss of Cooperstown, N. D.; his great-grandparents, E.W. and Dorothy Smith of Reedpoint, Mont., Myles and Nellie Summers of Houston, Minn., and Stella Anfinson of Towner, N.D.

Mary Mease Spokane
Rosary for Mary D. Mease, 60, will be at 7 p.m. today at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Funeral Mass is planned for 10 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be at the Perris Valley (Calif.) Cemetery at a later date. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A 20-year Spokane resident, Mrs. Mease died Saturday. She was born in Newton, Kan.
Mrs. Mease worked as a legal assistant in a law office for several years.
Survivors include a son, John Mease of Spokane; two brothers, Orion Chamberlin of Coeur d’Alene and Dean Chamberlin of Arrowhead, Calif.
Linda Dragstedt Coeur d’Alene
Viewing for Linda Sue Dragstedt, 49, will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene. Memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Coeur d’Alene. Mrs. Dragstedt, who was born in Coeur d’Alene, died Sunday.
She was a lifetime Coeur d’Alene resident and graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School in 1968. She earned an associate degree from North Idaho College.
Mrs. Dragstedt worked for insurance agencies in the area for the past 30 years, most recently for Sedgwick James of Spokane. She also was a Surplus Lines Agent.
She was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, where she taught Sunday school, served as secretary on the vestry and was on the youth coordinating team.
Mrs. Dragstedt had served as past president of Insurance Women of North Idaho and was a past Insurance Woman of the Year.
Survivors include her husband, Spence; a daughter, Kelly Harris of Coeur d’Alene; two stepdaughters, Heather Dragstedt of Coeur d’Alene and Heidi Dragstedt of Georgia; her parents, Oscar and Joyce Peterson of Coeur d’Alene; three sisters, Chris Szofransky and Julie Darnell, both of Rathdrum, Idaho, and Cathy Parker of Post Falls; and a brother, Rusty Peterson of Rathdrum.

Chelsea Cook Sandpoint
Visitation for Chelsea Cook, 45, will be Friday from noon to 5 p.m. at Coffelt Funeral Chapel in Sandpoint. Service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Lakeview Cemetery in Sandpoint. Mrs. Cook, who was born in Vienna, Austria, died Friday.
She moved to the United States in 1956. She grew up and attended schools in California’s San Fernando Valley.
Mrs. Cook moved to Sandpoint in 1991. She was a talented artist and also had worked as a band manager for musicians in California.
Survivors include her husband, Randy; a son, Shawn Baker , and a daughter, Angela Owens, both of Sandpoint; a stepson, Nathan Cook of Sandpoint; a sister, Betty Archibald of Sandpoint; her stepfather, Joe Knobler of Los Angeles; and two grandchildren, Andrew and Terris.
Bernice Nasato Spokane
Vigil for Bernice A. Nasato, 77, will be at 7 p.m. today at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Mass is planned for 11 a.m. Thursday at Mary Queen Catholic Church. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
A 50-year Spokane resident, Mrs. Nasato was born in Ferdinand, Idaho. She died Sunday.
Mrs. Nasato was a homemaker and a member of Mary Queen Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Guido; a son, Guy Nasato of Spokane; three daughters, Dollyne Matteucci of Montrose, B.C., Robin Pekrul of Chugiak, Alaska, and Laurel Lee Bosch of Orlando, Fla.; two sisters, Dorothy Ryan of Spokane and Betty Wiley of Coeur d’Alene; and six grandchildren.

Sophie Karrer Spokane
Private service will be held for Sophie M. Karrer, 89, at her request. Hennessey Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Karrer died Sunday.
She was born in Clear Lake, Wis.
A 72-year Spokane-area resident, Mrs. Karrer was a homemaker and a member of St. Paschal’s Catholic Church. She also served as the senior program director for Valley Bowl.
In 1927 she married Edward Karrer.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Robert Karrer of Coeur d’Alene; a daughter, Mary Lou Chrysler of Spokane; four sisters, Ann Chandler, Marie Kluender, Lucretia Fodor and Natalie Green, all of South St. Paul, Minn.; and one grandson.
