– Trickster’s is throwing a Red Solo Cup Party in honor of the iconic cup’s inventor, Robert Hulseman , who died last week; get an 18-ounce pour for $3 all day.
– Mad Bomber and Slate Creek are squaring off in a Battle of the Brews today from 5 to 8 at Rivelle’s in Coeur d’Alene, with happy hour pricing and live music.
– River City’s Randall for the weekend is Girlfriend Golden through jalapeno, lime and cilantro.

– Pilgrim’s hosts a free Grand Teton tasting Friday starting at 3:30, featuring beers from the holiday gift pack: Gose, Wake Up Call imperial coffee porter, Black Cauldron imperial stout, Double Vision doppelbock and Coming Home barleywine.
UPDATES WEDNESDAY 12/28
– Pints Alehouse will pour AleSmith’s acclaimed Speedway Stout on Friday and Saturday along with two variations: Vietnamese Speedway, brewed with four Vietnamese coffee bean varieties, and Mokasida Speedway with Ethiopian coffee beans. All will be available for growler and crowler fills.
– Badass Backyard taps the latest in a series of beers made on its system by homebrewers, a cranberry IPA from Travis Collins, on Friday at 4.

– Daft Badger’s weekly Wednesday small-batch release will be a citrusy IPA.

MONDAY
– Red Guitar Red is beer of the week at Twelve String , with $1 off pints and growler fills.
TUESDAY
– Pullman’s Paradise Creek hosts a Holiday Bowl party to support the hometown Cougars starting at 4 p.m., with a limited supply of barrel-aged Belgian Blood Orange Chocolate Stout tapped at kickoff; watch the game on the 12-foot screen and enjoy house-made bacon over burgers and cornbread.
WEDNESDAY
– An ugly sweater party at Waddell’s Neighborhood Pub and Grille features Fremont beers for $4, with a raffle for a brewery-branded toboggan.
THURSDAY
– Bellwether’s pint night benefits Friends of the Centennial Trail, which will receive $1 from each sale between 3 and 9.
SATURDAY
– Barrels & Bubbly at The Steel Barrel will include barrel-aged beers – Fremont’s Abominable winter ale and Dark Star imperial stout (regular and Spice Wars), and an in-house sour by Young Buck – plus champagne (in cocktails, and a $2 midnight toast) and oysters and ceviche from neighboring Zona Blanca.
SUNDAY
– Selkirk Abbey’s fifth annual New Year’s Day Brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. will have food from Black Tie Catering starting at 10:30 and a special keg of Duchesse de Bourgogne on tap.
– Mad Bomber again hosts the afterparty for the benefit Punks for a Princess Polar Plunge , with music starting at 1 p.m. by Bird Fight, Smokey Town Villains and The Drag plus food by Blue Smoke BBQ .
