Ramstead Ranch taking orders for its 2018 holiday turkeys

Want a local turkey for Thanksgiving or Christmas? Now’s the time to place an order.

Ramstead Ranch is taking orders for its 2018 holiday turkeys.

Its pasture-raised turkeys are $6 per pound and run between 10 to 15 pounds. Customers can specify the weight they’d like their bird to be at the time of ordering.

Deposits are $20 and non-refundable. Invoices will be sent with the balance due as well as confirmation of delivery date and time. Pick-up dates for Thanksgiving turkeys are between Nov. 14 and 17 from Clarkston and Kettle Falls to Newport, Deer Park and Spokane.

Birds will be cleaned, bagged and frozen with the giblets inside. They’re also certified by the Washington State Department of Agriculture.

Ramstead Ranch turkeys roam freely on grass at the farm, 990 Dennis Road in Ione. They forage and graze in their paddock and are also grain fed.

They can be reserved for Thanksgiving as well as Christmastime. But all pre-ordered turkeys must be picked up by the end of December.
