EVERETT – Jordy Vargas turned in six shutout innings and the Spokane Indians offense produced all game, beating the Everett AquaSox 9-2 in the fifth of a six-game High-A Northwest League series at Everett Memorial Stadium on Saturday. 

The Spokane Velocity have been dominant all season at home and entered Saturday's match against Corpus Christi Sharks with just two losses in 11 games at ONE Spokane Stadium.

Cleveland Guardians first baseman Kyle Manzardo, a Lake City High grad and Washington State great, was sent down to Triple-A Columbus earlier this week.

The Spokane Indians trailed the Eugene Emeralds by six runs twice in the middle innings. A four-run seventh inning rally helped draw them to within one run, and they equalized it in the bottom of the ninth.
