East Valley Middle School in the East Valley School District in Spokane Valley has announced its second semester honor roll for the 2020-21 school year. To make the honor roll, students must achieve a grade point average of 3.4 and above. Eligible students here are listed alphabetically by grade and GPA.

Donors push Christmas Fund close to goal

It’s Christmas Day and the outstanding Christmas Bureau donors have come through in a big way. New donations of $89,152.12 have brought the year-to-date total to $497,765.71 – within reach of the goal of $535,000. Today 15,036 children will wake up to a new toy and a book provided by the Christmas Bureau, and the food vouchers given to each family will provide for a nice meal at the table.

The following undergraduate students have achieved President’s Honor Roll status at Washington State University for spring semester 2019. To be named to the list, students must achieve a semester GPA of 3.75 or better while enrolled in at least nine graded hours with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0, or attain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher while enrolled in at least 15 graded hours with a semester GPA of 3.0 or better. Wall Street claims success on diversity — at least with interns

This year’s crop of interns is Bank of America’s “most diverse group ever,” the lender told investors on its second-quarter earnings call. Women comprise 45 percent of the current class – up from 42 percent in 2017 – while non-white interns make up 55 percent. Goldman Sachs . and Wells Fargo report similar numbers.
