I would like to congratulate Arielle Dreher and the Spokesman Review for an excellent piece – “Leading from the Heart” in the SR of April 28.

A day doesn’t pass without an article either denigrating the police or promising new legislation to prevent them from doing their jobs. I will remind you that job is to protect law abiding citizens and their property.

Imagine you are headed to the Albi stadium for a Friday night football game . The facility is top-notch, with great amenities. After the game, you head to the parking lot and leave. There’s a bit of traffic -- school buses, cars and some heading to a nearby bus stop. No big deal.

The Idaho House just enhanced its reputation as the "Worst Legislature in History." They accomplished this feat by not passing the teachers pay increase. What’s the reason that it didn’t pass? It was because the Aluminum Foil Hat Contingent of the House wanted to prevent critical race theory from being taught in Idaho’s schools.

I watch with dismay as the people's will is ignored by not only bully Mark Richard and his cohorts but the school board as well.

This tax has two significant issues: First, it is an income tax in spite of what its promoters say. It is a tax on income, not allowed by our state constitution.
