EVERETT – Brody Brecht dominated over four innings and the Spokane Indians beat the Everett AquaSox 6-2 in the fifth of a six-game High-A Northwest League series at Funko Field on Saturday.

SACRAMENTO – In a physical game that saw six yellow cards, the Spokane Velocity conceded two goals in each half in a 4-0 defeat to the Sacramento Republic (USL Championship) in Round 1 of group play in the PrinX Tires USL Cup at Heart Health Park on Saturday. 

EVERETT – Pinch-runner Curtis Washington, Jr. scored on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth and the Everett AquaSox edged the Spokane Indians 2-1 in the fourth of a six-game High-A Northwest League series at Funko Field on Friday.

EVERETT – Felnin Celesten knocked in two, including the go-ahead run in the seventh, and the Everett AquaSox beat the Spokane Indians 7-5 in the second of a six-game High-A Northwest League series at Funko Field on Wednesday.

The Kraken haven’t been able to lure a star to Seattle in free agency, and their first-round draft picks carry some of those expectations for now. Matty Beniers (2021), Shane Wright (2022) and Berkly Catton (2024) all spent the full 2025-26 season in Seattle.

EVERETT – Taylor Dollard was dominant on the mound for five innings and the Everett AquaSox beat the Spokane Indians 5-2 in the first of a six-game High-A Northwest League series at Funko Field on Tuesday.

With four USL Super League regular-season games left and three of eight playoff bids secured, the sixth-ranked Spokane Zephyr entered Sunday's match against No. 1 Sporting JAX needing every point they can get in a tightly contested postseason hunt.

Brody Brecht is the type of pitcher big league teams dream about. At 6-foot-4, 235 pounds, he has the physique of a football player – because he was that, too, at the University of Iowa. He possesses a big fastball, routinely hitting 96 mph, and three other average-to-plus pitches, including a quality late-breaking slider.

After the first two series of the season – a three-game season-opening series at Avista Stadium against Everett and a six-game road trip at Hillsboro – the Spokane Indians return home with a 4-5 record.
